Haman

There was a man called Haman in the Bible. This man was the right hand of the king during the days of Queen Esther and Mordecai the Jew who sits at the gate of the palace. Now Haman hates Mordecai because Mordecai refused to bow down to him even when others were doing so. Just because of this act alone, Haman plotted evil against a whole country (The Jewish community) because of one man. He even prepared gallows to hang Mordecai but God intervened.

Haman to me, is someone who doesn't want the progress of others. Someone who is jealous of others. Many a times we pray against Hamans in our place of work, business etc but looking deep down inside our lives, there are traits of Haman in us. When you maltreat your house help, you are a Haman. When you refuse to teach your fellow students in class a particular course just because you don't want anyone to score better grades, you are a Haman. When you say bad things about a fellow colleague in front of your boss in the place of work just to seek favor and promotion at his/her expense, you are a Haman. Do you know how  the man Haman ended? He was hung out on the gallows he prepared for Mordecai. Be careful what you wish for others. You never can tell if you will be paid with the same coin.
