Foundations

What is a foundation? According to the dictionary, A foundation is That upon which anything is founded; that on which anything stands, and by which it is supported; the lowest and supporting layer of a superstructure; underbuilding.

I can also say that it is similar to the words ground work, basis. For a building to stand the test of time, it must have a solid foundation. For you to have a solid foundation, so many things comes into play. The texture of the soil, the topography of the soil etc will be looked at. The building in a swampy area of Lagos island won't have the same foundation with the ones in Enugu.

Friends Do you know your life is a building that has many foundations? Do you know that every building will be tested? Do you know that your health is a foundation? That your marriage is a foundation? That your academic career is a foundation? That your belief and faith is a foundation? Let me also tell you that the time of testing for those foundations will come. And when it does, it's survival will depend on how strong those foundations are. Most of us that are still single have not even started laying foundations for our future family. We are ignorant to understand that when the time of testing comes, that our foundations might not even survive. No wonder the Bible said, Oh man thou are inexcusable before thou creator. What foundations is your life built on? As a teenager, you eat every thing that comes your way. Cold stone cream every day, pizza every week, you can't do without snickers. Some people smoke so much that even at the age of 25 you are already a chain smoker. Let me bring to your notice that that foundation you are laying for your health will collapse when the time of testing comes. But the Good news is that we have a Sure Foundation 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 and that sure foundation is Jesus Christ. If you can start building all your life's foundations with Him as the Chief Corner stone, then be rest assured that when the storms of life will come to test your building, it will be standing strong even in the face of adversity.
