Quote for today

"Nature, in its beauty, communicates ideas, patterns and concepts to us but we do not listen to it.
We look too far in search of answers. We are imprisoned by our quest for formal education or academic degrees. We pay millions of money to get educated. That's fine but nature has it free. You have to go to school but don't let school prevent you from receiving nature's answers. Nature simply wants us to look at, see, watch and observe it.

Take yourself on special dates with nature. Go to a tree; touch the stem, touch the leaves, climb if you can, sit and enjoy its shade. Go to the green area; lie down, look up, close your eyes. Bend down, feel the grass. Go to the stream; touch the water, put your leg in it. Go to the beach; play with sand. Watch animals, touch them, play with them. Appreciate nature. Sit at the feet of elders. Play with children. Appreciate your neighborhood.

Nature will introduce you to a new way of learning. You will begin to learn by appreciating the basic provisions of life. Before you know it, nature will link you to its designer and provider and in no little time, you will become a creative provider. Nature waves at us, calls for our attention, speaks to us and give us solutions.

Stop looking too far. Look at nature. The kind of learning that comes from appreciating the beauty of nature takes you beyond being educated to being deeply aware of the simplicity of life.
Your friendship with nature earns you the attitude of gratitude, humility and love. Friendship with nature is friendship with creativity.

Watch, listen to, and appreciate nature."
