Quote for today

"Our youths believe that changing the system is only possible when they hold a position of power. Being a youth is already a position of power. What the youth should ask for is the gift of faith that gives courage, the power of hope that helps to persevere and the wonder of love that unites. You have to master these three things as you grow in leadership. If you don't, how can you use them when in a position of power?

Most of the youths aspiring for positions of power have surface knowledge on the problems of the system. This means that the solution they think they have will be swallowed by the system. What do you do in your little space to correct something in the system?

It is not about noise or saying what you will do. The system will push you and check if you are really serious. It will keep pushing to check if you will give up. If you don't give up, you will be rewarded with a change in the system no matter how little. You have to start where you are....where you live, where you work and where you serve. You have to lead by being the new system you want to introduce.

While being in a position of power will help greatly, our actions while we wait for positional power is the best power we have. You have to make little sacrifices before you master how to make the big ones. Transforming our communities, states and nation demands our courage, perseverance and unity rooted in our faith, hope and love."
