Single and Alone (Part 2)

From our previous series, we saw why many are unhappy and bored at their workplace, which translates to boredom in their personal life, which is as a result of the feeling of unfulfillment they have in life. In return, they still feel lonely.

It's not uncommon to hear of many successful men and women committing suicide. These ones we know went that far, not because they are not doing what they love doing. I won't deny the fact that they had other extraneous issues that they bowed to, and in the end, it cost them their lives.

However, let's focus on those that haven't even begun doing what they love doing and are being weighed down daily. Your work may not pay you the highest in the beginning but it will give you the joy that only money can't give you. So, it's important we discover what our work is and launch into it, no matter how insignificant it may be.

But then someone may ask: "How can i discover this work?"

This has been the point many ladies tend to be confused because their discipline seems to differ from who they really want to be. Now, imagine someone who studied Microbiology but what she enjoys doing is Public Speaking. How will she know and then invest into it to grow the work?

Let's use a car as an example: A car is designed to ply on land, conveying humans and goods from one point to another. This is all a car is made for. Now, imagine trying to force a car to fly; the car will just see you as one who lacks understanding. It will never fly unless you alter its nature.

And this is the case with many ladies; we don't know what we are made for by design, and we try to alter our nature to become that which suits what everyone else thinks. We grow up in the pattern of the world (especially our loved ones). Hence, it leads to our frustration.

I may not be an expert in talking about WORK (PURPOSE and CALLING) but i will share with us based on my personal experiences and the experiences of people (especially, authors).

Before we go further, I would like us to know that the best person to enquire from as regards our WORK is our Creator. The function of a product is known best by its manufacturer. So, God is the One who made you and knows where best you will not only survive, but thrive. So, ask Him; He will show you.

In addition, there are some necessary questions (pointers) you need to answer on the quest on self-discovery:

1. What do I enjoy doing, even if I'm not paid? What do you do cheerfully and don't feel fatigued easily while doing it?
I asked a lady this and she said; sweeping and arranging the environment. And I told her that it's possible that her calling is geared towards events planning and management.

2. What puts me off when poorly done? One of my mentors told me that what made him go into media is because anytime he watches a poorly produced video, he just got angry unconsciously. So, that was a pointer.

3. What are you ready to offer your energy,  money and time just to get it done, excellently?

4. What do you do exceptionally great?

5. What do you do with less stress and you gain much favor when you're involved in it.
This is what differentiates Singers from those that sing for fun or money.
Etc...

Now that you have discovered who you are and what your WORK is, is that what you're doing currently?

And after you have discovered it and are into it, how can you be alone and not lonely?
