"Many people are having a rough time in life. These people hide or move around with heaviness in their hearts.
One day, I was at a bar with a friend so I watched the waiter until it was time to serve us. I asked the waiter, 'I hope you have taken something today?'. With an expression of surprise, she looked at me for some seconds and replied 'yes'. The look on her face showed that she was either weak or tired of the job so I wanted to let her know that someone cares. The person I came with asked me if I knew the waiter, I said no but that she needs care because her life seems to be about work, work, work.
I was at a fast food place with another friend. The girl serving us snacks was not cheerful so my friend told her this: 'hello dear, please smile, you are spoiling your beauty with your face like that'. She smiled and her facial expression spoke more than my friend's words. She felt important and loved.
Many people live this life feeling low because of how they are treated where they live and work. Your presence could be an opportunity to make them feel a bit high and lighten their burden. Wherever you find yourself, understand that your word or any other form of kindness could untie the ropes of pain and frustration that bind people.
Tell someone that he or she will make it in life. Try more to give them a picture of an end that is glorious and the things they may need to do to get there. Try even more, if you can, to help them with knowledge, money and any other form of active support to get there.
Make people smile. Show them a positive picture. You could be the dream they see while in the rough times of their lives. You could be the eyes they need to wear to view themselves better. You could be the door or window through which they see a new view of life. You could lighten the weights on them.
Go to people. Seek those in hiding. Go with your eyes, ears, words, hands, and gifts of love and care. Give them life. Shine in their lives and add taste to their living."
