Quote for today

"When you pour water into a cup, it stays in it. When you pour water on the natural ground, it is absorbed, stored and used. When you drink water, your body uses it to run its systems. The cup receives water, keeps it and depends on something alive to use it. The ground takes water, enriches what grows in it and then stores the rest. You drink water to quench your thirst, help your body systems to work and fight diseases. Your mind can work like the cup, the ground or the human body. Your mind is a system. What you take in is important because of what it does within you. How much value does what you see, hear or read add to the functioning of your mind? If your mind is like the cup or man-made objects/systems, you store up weights and get used by others. If your mind is like the ground, you become fertile and something fruitful within you begins to grow. If your mind is like the human body, you run better and develop. The thing is to be mindful of what you take in. What you keep may be useful or may be a burden. What you absorb may help you grow or make you weak. What you use may bring you success or teach you a lesson. What you see as aid may boost you or fail you. Know what to keep, absorb, use and rely on. Within you is a system of production. What you take in and what it does within you can affect the functioning of your system and the way you are valued by others."
